EVALUATION OF THE CYTOTOXIC EFFECT OF PARACETAMOL ON ONION ROOT TIP CELL

Abstract
Today the dependence of people on analgesics have increased at such extent that in minor health illness people uses with great interest Paracetamol toxicity can be very health hazardous since it causes hepatic damage, Renal damage as well as genetic toxicity. The present work is designed so as to evaluate its cytotoxic effect on onion root tip cells. Three concentration of Paracetamol were used .05ml, .025ml and 0125ml. during observation there was no significant difference in mitotic index at three different concentration, various types of abnormalities were reported during investigation including Binucleated cell, Double Anaphase, Multipolar spidle, Anaphase bridge, Double Prophase.
