TIT FOR TAT BASED LEARNING MADE EASY BY SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE AMONG THE 1ST YEAR MEDICOS

Abstract The Learners build knowledge as they explore the world around them. "Effective learning depends on the teacher's ability to maintain the interest of the students. Not all students are motivated by the same values, needs and desires. The excretory system chapter was thought to be boring and non- interesting hence to make it interesting and to improve the knowledge and skill, among 1st year medical students this study was conducted. Methodology:- This was studied on the Ist year MBBS 150 students of the present batch who are with various mind sets, like studious challenging silent naughty at their work. They were divided into fifteen groups of ten students each according to their roll numbers to overcome the bias Various forms of questions like Fill in the blanks, cross word puzzles, explain with the help of a flow chart, give reasons for the following, write the formulas for the following, multiple choice questions and draw the diagrams were given to them and were asked to note the timings from the start to stop. Results:- The multiple choice question and fill up the blanks was the top most scoring compared to the other tasks. The time spent showed that multiple question was the least and the definitions and the flow chart was the much time consuming one. Conclusion:- Adopting active learning strategies in the medical profession and participating in acquiring knowledge skill and right attitude brings a big impact in the student’s professionalism.
