ROLE OF PATHYAPATHYA IN IMMUNOMODULATION

Abstract

In present scenario humans are exposed to several environmental threats like viruses and bacteria. Better healthy life can be achieved by developing the body’s ability to adapt to new threats of environment and infirmity of the current era. This tolerance of one’s body is relying on immune status (Vyadhikshamatva) of an individual. In Ayurveda practice, the objective of immune enhancement that’s ‘Oja’ is achieved through implication of pathyapathya. As pathyapathyahelps to improve the immunity it works as an Ayurvedicimmunomodulator. Thus present review is an attempt to explain that how pathyapathya plays important role in immunomodulation.
