PRACTICAL VIEW OF ASHWAMAR KSHARA AND KSHARASUTRA PREPARATION

Abstract

Ayurveda is the most ancient health care system and is practiced widely in India. Many herbal remedies individually or in combination have been recommended in various medical treatises for the cure of different diseases. Ksharsutra an Ayurvedic para-surgical measure is used in the treatment of Nadivrana, Bhagandara. Acharya focus on preparation of drug and quality of drug. Kshara is one of the important ayurvedic formulation which is used in various diseases. In Ayurvedic text, kshara has its own importance in relation to the Shastrakarma and Agnikarma chikitsa, any disease which is not cured by Shastrakarma and Agnikarma those types of disease should be treated with Ksharkarma. In this paper we have explained standard procedure of Ashwamar kshara prepration as per Yogratnakara Samhita.[1] & Prepration of Ksharasutra as per Dr. P. J. Deshapande.[2]
