Abstract Self-medication is one among the main health concerns worldwide and World Health Organization (WHO) emphasizes on correctly investigating and controlling it. There's much public and professional solicitude regarding self-medication practices, which has dramatically increased within the previous few decades, especially in the developing countries. The practice of self-medication is widely employed by people everywhere the planet. The character and extent of selfmedication varies consistently with cultural, social, and academic influences. Self-medication is often done for the convenience and affordability. Health professionals play an important role in educating and preventing the risks of self-medication.
