REVIEW ARTICLE ON CHIKITSA CHATUSHPADA

Abstract

"Swasthsya Swasth Rakshanam" is the aim of Ayurveda i.e. to maintain the health of healthy persons and to eradicate the disease of diseased persons. To eradicate the disease, Chikitsa of imbalance Doshas is very necessary. In Ayurveda, the success of Chikitsa depends totally upon four factors which are known as Chikitsa Chatushpada. Ayurveda means „The Science of life‟, is a healthy lifestyle system that people in all over India have used for more than 100 years ago. That emphasizes good health and prevention and treatment of illness through healthy and proper life style practices like as massage, meditation, yoga and the use of adequate diet. Those all helps in the proper maintenance of body and thus keeping us healthy. Mostly diseases are caused due to imbalance state of body. Chikitsa is divided in four parts these are Bhishag, Dravya, Upastha, and Rogi. There are four components of Ayurveda treatment when they are having requisite and specific qualities can successfully re-establish the homeostasis of Dosha, Dhatus and Mala in body in the event of their equilibrium being disturbed in illness. It maintains all life must be supported by Chatushpada of Chikitsa. Each of the four factors possesses four qualities essential for a treatment is totally depends upon Chatushpada of Chikitsa. The presence of Chatushpada alongside noble qualities are essential within the attainment of a promising treatment. In this article we discuss about the qualities of four Chatushpada of Chikitsa. Ayurveda believes that success of any Chikitsa is totally depends upon Chatushpada of Chikitsa. Because of this, during this article we specialise in this Chikitsa Chatushada.
