A STUDY OF LOK PURUSHA SIDDHANTA W.S.R. TO MACROCOSOM MICROCOSOM THEORY

. Abstract There are many awesome principles in Ayurvedic texts. Among them one is the Lok-Purusha Siddhanta which explains that the body itself can be considered as the miniature of the whole creation. In other words, we can say that a unit itself contains all that is found in mega unit constituted by the similar units. The principle of Microcosom- Macrocosom has been mentioned in several ancient civilizations but the Ayurveda has explained it in Charaka Samhita under a discussion between Guru Atreya Punarvasu and disciple Agnivesh.
