PHYTOCHEMICAL EVALUTION IN VITRO, PHARMACOLOGYCAL ACTIVITY AND HAIR EXTRACT OF CORNSILK

. Abstract Zea mays is one of the oldest and most dynamic crop species Zea mays stand for „life giver‟ Cornsilk is a medicinal plant found in the world it is used for the local people to treat fever, diarrheal, anti-prostatitic, antilithiasis, antitumor, antihypertensive, antidiabetic, antihyperlipidemic, Antiinflammatory and antioxidant. The present study is aimed at investigating the phytochemical, Pharmacological activity and antioxidant potential of the hair extract of cornsilk. The extract where screened for their Phytochemical and Pharmacologycal activity using method eddy hot plate. Antioxidant potential was also determined through Phytochemical screening revealed the presence of alkaloid, flavonoids, steroids, phenols and tannins. Corn-flakes, “makki ki roti” and corn soup highlight its dominance all over the world. Anti oxidant was also determined through DPPH scavenging activities. Phytochemical screening presence of alkaloid, flavonoids, steroids, Phenols and tannins. The inhibitory action of ethanolic extract on test Antiinflammatory activities.
