CONCEPTUAL STUDY OF APPLICABILITY OF BILWADI AGAD IN COVID-19

Abstract

Agadtantra is one of the section of Ashtang Ayurveda which deals with toxic substance and treatment of their poisoning. In present, world is battling against COVID-19. Agad kalpa can help to nullify the effect of toxins produced by SARS-CoV-2. Bilwadi Agad mentioned in Ashtang Hrudaya Uttarstana, is presently widely used in Visha chikitsa. Due to unique combination of drugs in Bilwadi Agad, it can be used in current COVID-19 crisis. The various ingredient present in Bilwadi Agad has vishaghna, jwaraghna, swasa- kasaghna, shoolahara, shothahara properties which may help in combating the symptoms of COVID-19.
