MANAGEMENT OF GARBHASHOSH WITH KASHMARYADI KSHEERPAK - CASE STUDY

Abstract

The important concept of Ayurveda is „Suprajanan‟. The ultimate goal of antenatal care is to achieve healthy mother and baby. Many Garbhavyapad.[1] described by all aacharya‟s , while going through Ayurvedic texts we came to know that Garbhashoh.[2] is the common Garbhavyapad and it can be compare with IUGR. IUGR is major health problem in developing countries. In this case study 22 years old primi gravida whose ongoing pregnancy was uneventful until her seven months. On her routine ANC check-up in seven month she was diagnosed with IUGR clinically as well as on ultrasound. ‘KashmaryadiKsheerpak,[3] was given to her described in Charak Samhita. Many Drugs suggest for the treatment of Garbhashosha Having properties of ‘Balya’, ‘Brihaniy’, ‘Jeevaniy’, ‘Rasayan’. It is observed that effect of therapy on ultrasound parameters also clinical parameters were significant. Result was remarkable in criteria of weight of foetus. We can use siddha Ksheerin the form of Ksheerpak, Ksheerbasti as it enhances all the properties ofdravya.
