FOLLOW DIET AS PER RITUCHARYA FOR GOOD HEALTH

. Abstract Ayurveda the age old science of life has always emphasized at maintaining health and preventing disease rather then laying total focus over the treatment aspect. It has highlighted various rules and regimens regarding Ahar (diet), Vihar(regimens), Achara (conduct) and Vichara (thoughts) which are mandatory for attaining the desired healthy life. Ritucharya plays an important role in acclimatizing the seasonal enforcement easily without altering body homeostasis. Ritu means season and charya means regime. According to Ayurveda, the principles of system of Ritucharya essentially advocate living one’s life according to the flow of the seasons. The energies of nature change according to the seasons, for example, trees flowers in spring while they shed leaves in autumn. As human beings are also part of the ecosystem, our bodies are affected by these environmental changes. If we don’t adopt to these specific changes, we will become prone to lifestyle disorders, seasonal illness and many diseases.
