AYURVEDA FOR SKINCARE

. Abstract Ayurveda, the ancient and holistic science of health and longevity, is a unique heritage of India. The ancient Ayurveda is made up of two Sanskrit words, ‘ayu’ meaning ‘life’ and ‘veda’ meaning ‘knowledge’ which in literal terms mean the ‘Science of Life’ Great skin is a result of good skincare habits and a healthy lifestyle. While it’s essential to follow a good skin care routine, it isn’t complete in itself. The 5,000 year-old-science of Ayurveda emphasizes on the mantra ‘True beauty comes from within’. With many skincare products using different chemicals, there has been an increasing number of individuals preferring a more natural route when it comes to supplements and remedies for a variety of skin deficiencies and issues, Ayurvedic skin care routine focuses on balancing the whole body and supporting the digestive system with a healthy diet while treating each individual according to her specific doshas. In Ayurveda, healthy skin is not just about beauty– it’s also an indicator of balanced health throughout the body. A combination of Ayurvedic herbs, diet choices, and lifestyle practices can help you achieve healthy, glowing skin the natural way without the fear of suffering from side effects. n this way, Ayurveda has the potential of being the most accepted science for skin care in times to come.
