A COMAPARATIVE CLINICAL STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF CHATWARI TAILA AND BILWA TAILA KARNA-POORNA IN THE MANAGEMENT OF BADHIRYA W.S.R TO DEAFNESS

. Abstract Badhirya can be compared to Deafness. In bilateral ear patients of Reduced hearing is the presenting complent. In the present study the efficacy of Chatwari Taila Karnapoorana is compared with Bilwa taila Karnapoorana in the management of Badhirya. Where randomly were selected 30 patients were selected and divided into two Groups namely, Group A, and Group B each consisting of 15 patients. Group A was treated with Karnapoorana using Chatwaritaila & Group B was treated with Karnapoorana using Bilwa taila. Treatment procedure for seven days, Follow up was done on 8th day, 15th day and 22nd day of the course. Reduced Hearing Ability was the subjective parameter. Objective parameter was Pure Tone Audiometry. These were suitably graded to assess the results based on the clinical observations. Statistical tests were applied to analyze the results. It was observed in the present study that Group B Karnapoorana using Bilwa taila showed better results compared to Group A Karnapoorana using Chatwari Taila.
