ONE-POT SYNTHESIS OF POLYHYDROQUINOLINE DERIVATIVE AS ANTIMICROBIAL AGENT

Abstract Alternative Polyhydroquinoline derivatives were synthesized by using a variety of aldehydes, dimedone, methyl-3-aminobut-2-enoate in the presence of basic catalyst i.e. piperidine in ethanol as a solvent. The present methodology offers several advantages such as excellent yields, simple procedure, short reaction times, mild conditions and the compatibility with various functional groups.
