A CRITICAL REVIEW ON INTERPRETATION OF SEAFOOD (FISH) IN GARBHINI (PREGNANT WOMEN)

. Abstract To rely on Ayurveda is the best way to ensure a safe and natural childbirth. Ayurveda understand all the factors which related to beneficial or dangerous to childbirth. By following proper Garbhini Paricharya, the pregnant woman is prepared for a natural delivery and healthy child. Ayurveda considers food to be the best source of nourishment as well as medication for the pregnant women. Seafood consumption during pregnancy is considered to be beneficial for neurocognitive development of the fetus. But, now a day‟s seafood are radiated and added with other preservatives such as ascorbic acid, erythorbate and formalin to maintain their quality. On consuming such types of sea foods excessively during pregnancy causes congenital anomalies, growth restriction and Intra uterine death of the fetus.
