VINCA ROSEA: AS AN POTENT ANTI-CANCER AGENT.

. Abstract This review’s attempt demonstrates that Vinca rosea is one of several naturally growing plants that can be used for medicinal purposes. Catharanthus roseus is a perennial plant native to Madagascar that is usually found in southern Asia and tropical regions. Vinca Rosea, Madagascar periwinkle, sparkling eyes, Cape periwinkle, graveyard plant, old maid, pink periwinkle, rose periwinkle myrtle are some of the common names for Catharanthus roseus. L. Vinca is one of the most widely available plants and has the ability to save lives. Catharanthus roseus, often known as evergreen herb, is a well-known medicinal herb used to treat cancer. Cancer is the most common disease, and Vinca possesses anti-cancer and anti-tumor capabilities. Only cancer is usually discovered at a later stage. As a result of the late diagnosis, the treatment will fail. Only once the cells have been discovered in the body can cancer be cured. Micro propagation. This therapeutic plant yielded a number of well-known compounds, 130 alkaloids including ajmalcine, Vincennes, vincristine and vinblastine. Vincristine and vinblastine are used to treat Hodgkin's disease, breast cancer, skin cancer, and lymphoblastic leukemia it has anti-oxidant, anti-microbial, anti-diabetic, wound healing, anti-ulcer, and other pharmacological activities.
