Abstract

The objective of this research is to focus on phytosomes which are now being used extensively as modern technology in the field of pharmaceuticals as well as neutraceuticals because of its varied therapeutic actions with fewer side effects. Phytosomes possesses excellent pharmacodynamic activity with enhanced bioavailability of many popular herbal extracts like green tea, which can be developed for various uses in cosmeceuticals and neutraceuticals. This research highlights on the unique properties of phytosomes in drug delivery. This paper also contains the preparation of phytosomes, formulation of phytosomal gels its evaluation, advantages and also results and discussion. It also highlights how it is different from marketed formulation, and the future aspects in the field of pharmacy.
