STUDY OF KUSHTHAVACHADI CHOORN INHALATION IN DYSTOCIA (UTERINE FORCE INSUFFICIENCY)

. Abstract Ayurveda has studied and understood labour process in detail and have suggested different medications for the various ailments that arise during the labour process. Normal labour plays a major role in the wellbeing of the mother and the foetus. Uterine dystocia is one of the major causes of prolonged labour and foetal distress. Kushthavachadi choorn inhalation has been advised to overcome uterine dystocia during active labour. Oxytocin is the standard drug that is used for uterine dystocia. In the present study the drug Kushthavachadi choorn inhalation was used in trial group after patient was diagnosed of uterine dystocia during labour process, and the control group was administered the standard drug oxytocin after patient in labour was diagnosed of uterine dystocia. This study is a random control clinical trial. The drug Kushthavachadi choorn has been found to be as effective as Oxytocin.
