BIOAVAIABILTY ENHANCEMENT OF POORLY WATER SOLUBLE DRUG USING DIFFERENT METHODS
Sruthy S. Nair*, Anuroop U. P. and Ajith Babu T. K.
. Abstract Study was mainly designed to solve the drawbacks of low bioavailability of poorly soluble drug by preparing solid dispersion. Drug - solid dispersion was developed by melt solvent method kneading method, and co-precipitation method to modify the release and enhance solubility of the drug. The physical state of the dispersed carvedilol in the polymer matrix was characterized by Fouriertransform infrared spectroscopy, super saturation solubility testing and dissolution studies. The present study indicated that the use of various solid dispersion methods by using water soluble carriers improved the solubility of poorly water soluble drug. Keywords: Solubility & Bioavailability enhancement, Carvedilol, Solid dispersion. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
