Abstract

Now a days, Population Control is burning issue even though it’s modern era; as changing lifestyles of people affects more on socioeconomic Factors, health factors etc. the aim of this study is to gather & to make them familiar with practitioners to avoid no.of side effects of hormonal therepy. In Atharvaveda Brhad-aranyakopanisat & kaysika sutra- they used to do prayers & medicaments to produce sterility & infertility in both male & female partners, even in astrology contraception Ayurveda, yoga they have briefly mentioned about the ayurvedic contraceptive drugs mainly act on basic factors affects fertilization i.e Ritu (time Period), kshetra (Uterus) Ambu (liquid Secretions) & beeja (ovum & Sperm) by restricting union of one or 2 factors we can achieve contraceptive or sterility.
