A REVIEW OF THERAPEUTIC EFFECT OF TRIBHANDYADI YOGA IN THE MANAGEMENT OF BAHUPITTA KAMALA.

. Abstract Background: Ayurveda being an ancient holistic medicine is a hope of healing in today‟s world. According to Ayurveda, Human body is composed of tissues (dhatus), waste (malas) and biomaterials (doshas). The impurities (dushti) in any of them leads to disease formation. In Ayurveda, goals of treatment aid the person by eliminating impurities, reducing symptoms leading to harmony life. As mentioned in title, Bahupitta Kamala is one of the prominent conditions which attracts the attention of modern days. Due to improper eating habits, overeating of spicy food, alcohol consumption various liver disorder are caused. In Ayurveda texts, treatment of Kamala is Virechana (purgation therapy). Therefore, taking above consideration; Tribhandyadi Yoga is having Pittashamak guna, Rakta- Mamsa Shodhan Karma, is Yakrit gamitva and has Virechana Property which might be helpful to eliminate causative factors. Aim: To review the therapeutic property of “Tribhandyadi Yoga” in Bahupitta Kamala. Material and Methodology: Kalpa and its drugs have been taken from Samhita.
