A REVIEW ON YONIKANDA DISEASE

. Abstract In Ayurveda, there are short descriptions of some diseases available in different samhitas (books). At present also some diseases having limited pathophysiology but we can’t neglect them. By doing comparative study of such diseases we can decide the line of treatment. Yonikanda is also such type of desease having short description in samhitas. Considering the description of Yonikanda it appears to be nearer to deseases like Bartholin’s abscess, Bartholin’s cyst etc. If we study such diseases described in ayurvedic classics along with modern medical science then there is more scope for the understanding the pathophysiology of such diseases and their treatment.
