AYURVEDA INSIGHTS OF IDEAL DIETARY PRACTICES W.S.R TO AHARVIDHI VIDHAN- A SHORT REVIEW

. Abstract Ahara, Nidra, Brahmacharya are the three pillars of human life and each one of them has a crucial role in immunity building as well as happiness. A happy and healthy body predominantly belongs to a person practicing ideal lifestyle described in Dinacharya. Ahara is the irreplaceable aspect of everyone’s life. Now days, due to advancement in technology and busy schedule, dietary habits of mankind are found to be so changed that many lifestyle diseases are evidenced in large number of population. Less exercise / less physical activity and increasing access to unhealthy food & drink options are causing many children and teens to acquire poor lifestyle habits that lead to obesity. Consumption of packaged food or junk food contributes big part in today's instant era. Due to this, there is imbalance between calorie intake and calorie utilized due to various avoidable and unavoidable reasons. Hence, effective dietary lifestyle and intervention strategies should be implemented to avoid such lifestyle diseases. In Ayurveda, there are many rules and regulations regarding diet intake.
