Abstract

The kshar kalpana is dealt with the pharmaceutical procedure of kshar preparation. Kshar is alkaline preparation where as preparation of lauha churna acharyas charka mentions the triphala kwatha, ingudiksharjal, palashksharjaland jyotishmatiksharjal in lauhadi Rasayana. Aim: Pharmaceutical and Analytical Study of Ingudi Kshara. Objective: To prepare and physicochemically evaluate ingudi Kshara. Materials and Methods: Ingudi Kshara was prepared as per Ayurvedic text and characterized by organoleptic characters, physico-chemical parameters. Results: This study clearly revealed that percentage yield of ingudi Kshara and obtained from completely dried stems of ingudi Panchanga of 66 gm. Ingudi Kshara showed the presence of sodium, potassium.
