A CASE REPORT ON A CHILD FAINTING DUE TO BREATH HOLDING SPELL TREATED AS MURCCHA THROUGH AYURVEDIC MEDICAMENTS

. Abstract Murccha is considered as vyadhi (disease) of nervous system (sanjanavaha srotas) which results due to intake of unwholesome diet and with mind covered with mansika doshas (Raja & Tamas) which ultimately blocks rakta (blood channels), rasavaha srotas (channels which carries nutrients) & sanjanavaha srotas (nerve channels) and imbalance in tridoshas (vata, pitta, kapha) which disturbs the mind and brings unconsciousness creating special symptoms as per doshas. A child aged 4 years reporting breath holding spell was treated through Ayurvedic medicaments, diagnosed as Pittaj Murccha.
