CONCEPTUAL REVIEW ON ADHO SHAKHAGATA MARMA

. Abstract Ayurveda believes that one can be a good physician and surgeon both only when he has practically observed and learned all about the human anatomy. Marma is such a unique principle. It can be explained as sandhisthanam or jeevasthanam. Its first and foremost literature is seen in brihattrayee. However acharyacharak described only trimarma (shira, hridaya and basti).
