Abstract

Pyrazole is a five membered heteroaromatic ring with two nitrogen atoms is of immense significance. Presence of this nucleus in the pharmacological agents of diverse therapeutic categories antianxiety, anti-inflammatory, antipsychotic, anticancer, antiobesity, analgesic, antipyretic etc. has made it an indispensable anchor for design and development of new pharmacological agents. Pyrimidine is an aromatic heterocyclic organic compound similar to pyridine. Pyrimidine derivatives form a component in a number of useful drugs and are associated with many biological and therapeutical activities. Pyrimidine derivatives have been reported as anti-microbial, analgesic, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, anti-HIV, anti-tubercular, anti-tumour, anti-neoplastic, anti-malarial, diuretic, cardiovascular agent.
