. Abstract Tear film plays a vital role in maintaining the transperancy of cornea, tear secretion is integral part of ocular surface physiology. It keeps the conjunctiva and cornea moist, provides oxygen to corneal epithelium, washes away the debries irritants, facitates the movements of eyelids over globe.[1] When tear film production, quality, evaporation, drainage is not maintained leads to Shushkakshipaka (Dry eye syndrome). Environment, wearing contact lens, aging process ,malfunction of glands medication, computer and television play a major role in pathogenesis. Vitiation of Vata, Pitta, Rakta are contributing factors of disease manifestation. A patient with treatment protocol is presented as a case study in this article.
