A REVIEW ARTICLE ON MAMSAGATA VATA DUSHTI W.S.R. TO MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY IN CHILDREN

. Abstract Muscular dystrophy is a collection of muscular ailments which are considered by the degenerative weakness which affect loss in muscular mass. It affects large number of age group. There are dissimilar types of muscular dystrophy and most ordinary indication can be seen in boys during early days. In muscular dystrophy irregular genes hinder the structure of proteins which are essential in the configuration of weight muscles. If we see the references in Ayurveda, different Acharya’s have considered this form as Aadibala-pravruta (shukra dustigata i.e. sperm and ovum affected or by hereditary) with Mamsagata Vata vikara because of obstruction in tissue microchannels of the body. There is reduction of Dhatvagni (metabolism) cobblestone the way of undigested food i.e. Ama (toxins) formation by kapha. While Srotorodha produce hypertrophy in exacting region which are empty, Vata is manifest first as Prakopa (vitiation) and then reduction occurs. This may lead to muscular wasting and dystrophies.
