CRITICAL STUDY OF RASAVAHASROTAS W.S.R.TO AMAVATA

Abstract

Srotas are the inner transporting channels of body. Srotas are defined as the empty spaces inside the entire body, which originates from empty space and different from sira and dhamani. Diet and lifestyle those are suitable to doshas and contrary to dhatus in their properties cause morbidity in srotamsi. The rasavaha srotas have their origin from hridaya and dash dhamanis. Etiological factors for causing rasavaha sroto dushti are intake of heavy, cold over unctuous food in excessive quantity and perform excessive mental work. Disturbed functions of agni leads to formation of under processed anna rasa which is immature called aam located in aamasaya and it exacerbates all the doshas. Samana vayu brings aam from aamasaya to the root of rasavaha srotas. From the heart vyana vayu ejects the aam along with s simultaneously, continuously, and forcefully to the whole body[1] and block the vessel of the joints and get deposited there causing the disease amavata.[2] where it produce pathology like heaviness in body, loss of strength, drowsiness, aggravation of vata and improper elimination of waste product, body ache, not desire to take food, thirst, fever, incomplete digestion of food is the symptoms of amavata. when disease grow in intestity it become difficult to cure, as well as involved joints of hands, feet, ankles, knees and produce pain, swelling, stiffness and tenderness in affected joints.[3]
