Abstract
Chemosensitizers, from the name we know that Chemo means
chemical and Sensitizer means agent which has a capability to sense
the condition or oppose the presence of some agent by any reaction.
Chemosensitization is an activity in which a given scheme with one
drug is used to enhance the activity of another selectively in the tumor
cells, and also limit any undesired toxicity or side effects in normal
cells. The strategy to use this chemosensitizers are, it has the ability to
overcome the chemoresistance. The huddle in cancer therapy is time
dependent tumour resistance to therapy (chemoresistance) and nonspecific
toxicity toward normal cells. This huddle in chemotherapy is
the chemoresistance. In conventional chemotherapy, chemoresistance
will arise after a short term, so that the dosage efficacy will be
affected. While using chemotherapy with a chemosensitizer, reduce the dosage and also side
effect.
