A REVIEW ON ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ACTIVITY OF PUNICA GRANATUM LINN (POMEGRANATE)

Abstract
The predominant reason for this review article was to study the antiinflammatory
exercise of punica granatum linn and leaves, fruit peel
etc. Punica granatum linn usually acknowledged as pomegranate and
it's a tremendously phenolic compound include fruit or plant with
exceptional type of things to do such as antimicrobial, antipyretic, antiinflammatory,
antibacterial, anticancer, antioxidant, and so on.
Inflammation is a body defense mechanism however so many
instances infection cause a number of physical manifestations like
acute and chronic inflammatory disease. This review article is divided
into three components likewise - 1. The first section divided the
introduction of inflammation, anti-inflammatory drugs and their mechanism of action. 2.
Second phase divided into introduction of punica granatum linn, pharmacological or
therapeutic properties, and lastly 3. Third part is divided into a review article regarding factor
of view to assess anti-inflammatory activity of punica granatum by using various animal
models such as carrageenan induced paw edema, cotton pellet induced and histamine /5HT
induced paw edema etc.
