Dr. Anjali Jain and Dr. Vibha Nirgude* Abstract Plant gums are natural source used as therapeutic as well as commercial purpose and they are made up of polysaccharides. Many herbaceous and woody plants produce gums, only a few tree species produce commercial quality and quantity of gums, these currently being limited to some families.
