CLINICAL STUDY ON ANTIDIABETIC EFFECT OF NYAGRODHADI CHURN IN TYPE-2 DIABETES MELLITUS

Abstract
Diabetes mellitus, typically known as diabetes, is a metabolic disease
either because of insulin deficiency or insulin resistance that causes
hyperglycaemia. Blood glucose is the main supply of energy that
comes from the food we eat. Insulin, a hormone secreted by the
pancreas, enables glucose to get into the cells to provide energy. In this
study, A total number of 200 patients of type-2 Diabetes mellitus (DM)
were selected randomly to assess the efficacy of Nyagrodhadi Churna.
Nyagrodhadi Churna, an Ayurvedic polyherbal formulation, includes
Nyagrodha and other 27 different substances in powder form and is
described in Bhaishajya Ratnavali under Pramehadhikara. After 2
months treatments results are very promising and these may be a new
ray of hope in the management of Diabetes.
