CLINICAL STUDY TO EVALUATE THE EFFECT AGNIKARAMA AND RAKTAMOKSHANA IN THE MANAGEMENT OF KATI SANDHIGAT VAT W.S.R TO LUMBAR SPONDYLOSIS: CASE STUDY

Abstract

Kati Sandhigat vat l.e Lumbar Spondylosis is seen as cascaded of anatomical changes of spine which lead to more degeneration & changes in other spine structures, these changes combine cause compression of spinal nerve root. Agnikarma (therapeutic heat burn) and Raktamokshana (therapeutic bloodletting) are the treatment modalities mentioned in Ayurveda text to combat the clinical condition of sandhigat vat which occur due to provoked of vat dosha. Lumbar spondylosis is degenerative disorder presenting with low back pain, stifness, numbness, difficulty in walking. The one common factor regarding treating lumbar spondylosis in ayurveda it is clearly seen that we have to deal with pain for that Agnikarma and Raktamokshana is definitely playing key role.
