NETRA TARPANA: AYURVEDIC EYES REJUVENATION

. Abstract Ayurveda the life science has mainly two branches. One is medicinal school of ayurvedists & another is surgical school of ayurvedists. Acharya Sushrut is the pioneer in the surgical school of ayurvedists. In this school of thoughts Shalakya Tantra has been described. Achrya Sushrut in his classified text, have mentioned seven upakrama’s regarding treatment of eye diseases. Out of these seven upakrama’s Tarpana is the first upakrama. Netra tarpana is a special ayurvedic treatment for the eyes. It relieves the tiredness & also improves the eyesight. It is highly recommended for people who regularly work at computers, operate machinery, drive for long period or anyone who is currently suffering from tired, aching & sore eyes.
