A CASE REPORT OF SKIN GRAFT IN MANAGEMENT OF DIABETIC WOUND ALONG WITH PANCHVALKAL KASHAY DHAVAN

Abstract
Diabetes is one of the common disease in india with complication like
diabetic wound which is chronic, non-healing, infected in nature. Skin
graft is one of the most indispensable techniques in plastic surgery and
dermatology. Skin graft are used in variety of clinical situations. Such
as diabetic wound oncologic resection, burn reconstruction. In
Ayurveda panchavalkala has activities like vranashodhana by vrana
prakshalana, vranaropana, shothahara, upadanshahara, visarphara.
Its an group of bark of five trees – Vata, udumbara, ashwatha, paris,
plaksha. In present review we perform skin grafting successfully with along with
panchavalkal kashay dhavan which showed good anti imflammatory activity in the form of
dhavan, which altimetly reduce microbial load and enhance wound healing.
