Shruti Thakur*, Anisha Sharma, Inderpreet Kaur, Dr. Narinderpal Kaur
. Abstract Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a type of idiopathic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in which ulcers form on the surface of the bowl lining, causing bleeding. Inflammation begins in the rectum and spreads throughout the colon, making it a recurrent and remitting illness. Because of its comparatively low side effects and simple availability, traditional therapeutic therapies based on the use of plants and plant extracts for the treatment of medical diseases are becoming more popular.
