Abstract

According to Ayurveda designation of health is the state of physical, mental, spiritual well-being. The prayojan of Ayurveda is to be the maintain of proper health including balancing state of Dosha, Dhaatu & Agni. Ayurveda Acharya defined that the Aahar, Nidra, & Brahmacharya are the tristhambha, which support the body itself. Aahar is very important to maintain good health but the preparation and consumption of ahar also plays vital role in our life. The consumption of diet in appropriate manner helps in the growth of living being. Scholars of ancient Ayurved science find ahar equally significant for mental and physical health both. Aacharya Charaka has defined Ashta Aahar Vidhi Vishesh Aayatan in very systematic and scientific manner. In today s era due to lack of knowledge about the concept of Aahar vidhi Vishesh Aayatan individuals are facing digestive distress. Digestive distress is ultimately leads to several diseases of unknown ethology. If we adopt these rules of diet in our regime we can protect ourselves from such disorders.[15]
