Shalini Agrawal*, Aditya Tiwari and Nitendra Sahu
. Abstract In the present study, was made to prepare, characterize and evaluate of topical therapeutic system of anti-inflammatory system from S. Xanthocarpum and A. officinarum herbal plant. Various formulations such as hydrogel, hydroalcohalic gel and ethosomal gel were designed and optimized. The extraction of S. xanthocarpum dried fruits and A. officinarum dried rhizome were carried out. The hydrogel and hydroalcohalic gel formulation of ethanolic extract of the S. xanthocarpum fruit and Methanolic extract A. officinarum rhizome were formulated by using varied concentration of polymers. Batches (F3, F4 and F6) were characterized for various parameters. Percentage drug release of ethosomal gel FE formulation containing both plants S. xanthocarpum extract was observed to be 24.43 (at 30 min.) and 75.09 % (at 180 min.) respectively. All the studies performed provides a strong evidence for the use of the both plants as an anti-inflammatory agent and novel topical ethosomal gel containing S. xanthocarpum dried fruit A. officinarum dried rhizome extract that can be used as an alternative remedy for management and treatment of inflammation related disorder and disease. Keywords: hydrogel, S. Xanthocarpum, A. officinarum, ethosome, anti inflammatory. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
