IMPORTANCE OF RITUCHARYA IN PREVENTION OF LIFESTYLE DISORDERS

Abstract

Ayurveda the ancient science of life has always given emphasis on maintaining health of healthy individuals and prevention of diseases.[1] It has emphasized various rules and regimens regarding Ahar and Vihar that are required for living a healthy life. Ritucharya is one among these regimens and play a main role in adapting to changes in seasons without disturbing body homeostasis which leads to imbalance among Doshas in the body and thereafter leading to disease manifestation. As a result it is necessary to comprehend and use these standards in light of the changes in Ritu. Methods –The detail about Ritucharya was described and understand concomitantly in this study, which involved a thorough investigation of Ayurveda text. Discussion – In this paper an effort is made to understand the concept seasonal diet and regimen, prevention of diseases. Conclusion – Ritucharya seems like a simple idea, but it is important to harmonize the structural composition in response to seasonal fluctuations. Consequently, these principles are important for protecting the body from disease, reducing the occurance of diseases and increasing immunity.
