Abstract

Shvitra is a skin disorder which is mentioned in Kushtha Rog, where white patches appear on any part of body or a local region. In modern medical science it can be correlated with Vitiligo. Vitiligo is focal loss of melanocytes result in development of patches of hypopigmentation. According to modern science pathogenesis is unclear and considered as autoimmune disorder. Ayurveda has mentioned various causative factors of Shvitra along with its treatment.so here attempt is made to treat a case of Shvitra with the help of compound Ayurvedic medicines mentioned in Ayurvedic Samhita.
