AN APPOROACH TO UNDERSTAND THE MECHANISM OF HORMONES WITH HELP OF SHADCHAKRAS
Vd. Prashant Rajiv Madankar*, Vd. Prashant Rajiv Madankar, Vd. Sampada S. Sant
. Abstract A hormone is any member of class of signaling molecules produced by gland signaling molecules produced by glands in multicellular organisms that are transported by circulatory system to target distant organs to regulate physiology & behavior. The endocrine gland releases hormones that bind with specific receptor on target cells & trigger intracellular signals by altering membrane permeability, Acting through second messenger system, Activating specific genes to form new proteins. In Ayurveda specially in yoga, there are six chakras which functions & which are located at same points where six important glands are located. At top there is AADNYA chakra, located at brumadhya can be compared with pituitary gland, which is master of endocrine orchestra. There is VISHUDHYA chakra located at kanthya region (cervical plexus) can be compared with thyroid/ paratyhyroid gland. After that there is AANAHAT chakra located at hrudaya can be compared with location of Thymus gland. After that MANIPUR chakra located nabhi (umbellicus) region, can be compared with pancreas gland. After that SWADHISTAN chakra located at lingourdvha can be compared with adrenal glands located at inferior mesenteric plexus. At last there is MULADHAR chakra located at gudasamip region can be compared with Testes/ Ovary located at pelvic plexus. The significance of location of SHADHCHAKRA can be essentially correlated because if there is trauma at such points, there is abnormal or decreased secretions of such endocrine gland. Keywords: .
