Abstract
One of the most prevalent ulcerative diseases, aphthous stomatitis is
primarily associated with the oral mucosa and is characterised by
excruciatingly painful, recurrent, single, multiple ulcers in the upper
throat and oral cavity. Both the general public and medical
professionals refer to the condition by a variety of other names,
including canker sores, cold sores, recurrent aphthous stomatitis
(RAS), and recurrent aphthous ulcers (RAU). Eating, drinking, and
swallowing are all impacted during the active disease phase, which
lowers quality of life. Analgesics, antibiotics, and topical steroid
application are the only medications used to treat symptoms in most
cases. These over-the-counter medications can occasionally have
serious negative effects. A safer and more effective alternative to pharmaceutical medications
is herbal medicine. The purpose of this article is to examine the most popular herbal remedies
and determine how well they work to heal mouth ulcers.
Keywords: RAS (Recurrent Aphthous Stomatitis), RAU (Recurrent Aphthous Ulcer), Herebel Remedies, Etiopathogenesis, Herpetiform Ulcer.
