DIABETIC CARBUNCLE A COMPLICATION OF INTRAARTICULAR STEROIDAL INJECTION: A CASE STUDY

Abstract

A 44 years female patient got admitted in Shalyatantra IPD of Shri Ayurved Mahavidyalaya and Pakwasa Samanvay Rugnalaya, Nagpur presented with fever and painful swelling at the left supra scapular region with pus discharge from the lesion since last 1 month which was progressive with restricted movement of left shoulder joint. As per the signs and symptoms, She has been clinically diagnosed to have carbuncle at left supra scapular region. Carbuncle is a rare condition that may be misdiagnosed clinically, because of the atypical nature of the disease. Hence, a clear clinical picture was necessary for the identification and correct diagnosis of the case.
