Abstract

There are four types of Rasaushadhies are described in Ras Shastra i.e. Khalveeya Rasayana, Kupi Pakava Rasayan, Pottali Rasayan, Parpati Rasayan. Parada plays an important role in all formulation of Rasaushadhies. Parada is considered as essence of Lord Shiva by all Ras Granthas so it is not only used for worshiping but also formation of various formulation by our sages. They invent various methods like Murchhan, Marana, Baddh etc to use Parada. Marana of Parada or formation of Parada Bhasm is very unique method & used to alleviate Dosha & gave Aarogyata to the body. Parada Bhasm is also useful for incineration of other metals that’s why Parada has a great importance among all metals & minerals, but with the passage of time & ignorance toward Marana of Parada, this procedure is limited to only some peoples. In today’s era we need scientific orientation to evaluate & standardised the method of Marana of Parada Bhasm.
