Abstract
Dietetics is the science of diet and nutrition. It is the branch of medical
science concerned with the practical application of diet in relation to
health and disease. The diet is prescribed for both the health of the
individual as well as the diseased person. Diet for a healthy person
depends on the nature of the person and for a diseased person it
depends on the predominance of the disease. Along with Yoga,
Ayurveda also has many specialized branches. But still no individual
specific branch of dietetics received attention. Although Diagnosis of
