ROLE OF CHITRAK HARITKI AVALEH IN PRATISHAYA

. Abstract ―Vatam prati abhimukham shyayo gamanam kaphadinam yatra sa prtishyayah”. The word pratishyaya is derived from two words — ―prati‖ and ―shaya‖. The word prati means abhimukha or in the opposite direction (i.e. not in the direction it should be) and shyaya means gamana or flowing of over formed secretions.“Prati kshanam shyayate iti pratishyayah” Dalhan. The disease in which there is continuous flow of secretions is called as pratishaya. Pratishaya being the most important disease of the nose has been explained in all the Ayurveda texts.
