Abstract

Essential oils are frequently used in cosmetics, perfumes, and other home products because of their diverse characteristics, but primarily because of their pleasant odour. The content of these volatile natural complex mixtures might vary depending on the grade of plant material used to make them and the extraction method used to make them. These elements are also crucial in ensuring that essential oils be used safely in personal care products. They may cause skin sensitivity and irritations, as well as other symptoms, because they include chemicals with varying chemical structures and effects. Although essential oils are deemed safe and harmless when used in small amounts, scientific evidence suggests that essential oils and their constituents may have hazardous properties.
