Abstract

Dravya is one of the prime factors essential to carry out Chikitsa. It should be put into a form which fits the Vyadhi and the Vyadhita. This is the stage where Kalpana comes into play. Bhaishajya Kalpana is the limb of Ayurveda which transforms the Dravya into a potential Bheshaja through various Samskara. Madya Kalpana is one Kalpana which can serve as Ambrosia when used with Yukti. Under the category of Madya Kalpana comes Sura used widely in a range of Vyadhi both internally and externally. Sadly, not much practice of this Kalpana makes this article an effort to bring it back into life.
